Transition & Employment Program
AFO works to expand opportunities for autistic and neurodivergent Oklahomans as they transition into adulthood, employment, and greater participation in their communities. Through employer education, training, resources, and partnerships, AFO helps businesses and organizations understand neurodiversity and strengthen inclusive employment practices. Program activities include LEAD Neurodiversity in the Workplace, Pathways to Partnership employer training, Autism Friendly Business certification, and AFO’s Autism Job Board. AFO also works with schools, employers, and community partners to strengthen pathways from education to employment and increase understanding of the practices that help neurodivergent individuals succeed in the workplace. Together, these efforts help employers recruit, support, and retain a more diverse workforce while reducing barriers to meaningful employment and creating greater opportunities for autistic and neurodivergent Oklahomans to build skills, pursue their goals, and thrive.

Partners in Success
AFO, in partnership with Plan Your Way OK, offers “Partners in Success,” a free employer workshop and subsequent support program. This program helps businesses build successful alliances with Oklahoma schools to train and hire students with disabilities.
